Our Orders
Allied Masonic Degrees
The Grand Council of the Order of Allied Masonic Degrees of England and Wales and Districts and Councils Overseas
About the order
After 1813, many degrees once worked under Craft warrants were organised into separate orders, but several were left without a governing body. In the late 1870s the Grand Secretaries of the Craft, the Mark and the Ancient and Accepted Rite set up the Grand Council to look after them.
Today it is based at Mark Masons' Hall. Councils often specialise in one or two of the five degrees, and St Lawrence the Martyr must be taken first.
